NIEC, Campus is spread in about 9 Acres of lush green environment, located at Facility Centre, Shastri Park, the home to metro railway, near ISBT Kashmere Gate covering an area of approx. 1,50,000 sq. feet.
The mission of the College has been derived out of the memories of Late Babu Banarasi Das, "The Inspiring Soul", to develop young budding minds in service of the Nation and of the Planet.
In the Chain of Technical & Professional Educational Institutes participant to Babu Banarasi Das Group of Educational Institutions, Northern India Engineering College, New Delhi is the latest addition, which is equipped and positioned to emerge as a World-Class Technical Institute of excellence in Northern India, consonance with the vision conceived by the Management.

Northern India Engineering College, New Delhi has emerged out of the vision to serve the cause of education in Northern India with the same level of commitment as the other Colleges of the Group such as:

The College has been established & is being managed by Babu Banarasi Das Educational Society, under the Chairmanship of Hon'ble Dr. Akhilesh Das, Secretary & MP (Rajya Sabha) & Union Minister of State for Steel, GOI. The commitment, dedication and vision of Dr. Das - Hon'ble Chairman, Mrs. Alka Das - Hon'ble Vice Chairperson & Dr. V.P. Sinha - Secretary of the Society have shaped NIEC, New Delhi into a premier Technical Educational College.

Sports Activity

         In sports our students and faculty members like to compete with each other in friendly manner. These events help students to get to know each other better. Watching these matches is an enjoyable experience.   

Inter-Departmental Competitions

         Students at NIEC frequently compete with students from other departments in different events. Activities such as these help students learn how to compete in a healthy manner and develop a sporting spirit .Indoor and outdoor games like Table Tennis ,Carum-boards ,Chess, Volley-ball etc. are installed in the college for the benefit of students and faculty members.

Cultural Programmes

         Cultural programmes are the musical route to entertainment and fitness .we encourage western dance performance, but also cherish the traditional dances of India that signify beauty, grace and precision. We have events for the lovers of traditional and contemporary dance.

Talent show

           Periodically, we organize talent shows to give students the opportunity to exhibit their special talents, whatever they might be. This is a special event for those students who are reserved and shy, as they feel encouraged to express themselves in an event whose boundaries are not rigidly defined.                                                                                     

  Debates

         Students actively participate in debates to hone their analytical and competitive skills. Debates also give them an opportunity to hear and accept opposing points of view.

 Group Discussions

           Our students actively participate in group discussions to improve their inter-personal communication skills. Also, since group discussions are becoming a common element of the recruitment process of most major companies.

 Industrial Visits / Exposure

            The institute organizes regularly this integrative module exercise which typically leads to experiences that enhance participant’s ability to express and apply their ideas clearly and convincingly: a valuable personal asset in business life. The institute is tying up with Sun Microsystems, Oracle, Rational, Microsoft and other leading companies (for MCA program) to ensure that the students have exposure to the latest technology before they post graduate.
